Total Hip Primer

Welcome!

The purpose of this blog is to organize and present what I’ve learned about hip osteoarthritis and hip replacement surgery. My goal is to write the sort of overview that I wish I’d been able to find when I was first diagnosed and trying to make sense of everything.

About me

I'm a data nerd, PhD, and CSCS. I'm currently recovering from a total hip replacement! Sadly, that means I'm a former trail runner. But I hope to continue as an avid hiker, tackling the Grand Canyon, Tour du Mont Blanc, and Cactus to Clouds. I also hope to return to some level of competitive weightlifting. And to burpees. (Love those.) If you'd like to comment or connect, send me an email at contact@totalhipprimer.com
