The purpose of this blog is to organize and present what I’ve learned about hip osteoarthritis and hip replacement surgery. My goal is to write the sort of overview that I wish I’d been able to find when I was first diagnosed and trying to make sense of everything.
Hi, I'm Russell. I'm a data nerd, PhD, and CSCS. I'm currently recovering from a total hip replacement! Sadly, that means I'm a former trail runner. But I hope to continue as an avid hiker, tackling the Grand Canyon, Tour du Mont Blanc, and Cactus to Clouds. I also hope to return to some level of competitive weightlifting. And to burpees. (Love those.)
